My Identity and Values
I am a Belgian painter whose practice, spanning over 25 years, is dedicated to a unique theme: the childhood and adolescence of girls, their silences, their wounds, and their resilience. My work is part of an artistic, social, and humanistic approach—painting that makes the invisible visible for the sake of dignity, protection, and healing.
I use art as a tool to educate the eye, creating a direct social impact: it can transform the way we listen, support, protect, and pass on. Art as a social language.
My Values
Dignity, protection and rights of childhood and family
Empathy and a social, humanistic commitment
Artistic authenticity
Giving a voice to children and adolescents
Highlighting the place of the feminine

Opening a space of interpretive freedom for the viewer
My Process
My artistic work explores life narratives—often fictional yet inspired by real events—where childhood and adolescence, particularly for girls, face significant trials. These experiences, sometimes invisible at first glance, leave deep marks that shape adult life in complex ways. Through my work, I seek to translate these imprints into a powerful visual language, where every color, texture, and layer of paint tells a story.
About me
In 2025, I was selected for the 20th edition of the Arte Laguna Prize by an expert jury including Xiaoyu Weng, Kostas Stasinopoulos, Michal Novotný, Anastasia Dawson, Jemima Kulumba, Emiliano Valdés, and Mario Nanni. This selection allows me to exhibit at the Arsenale Nord in Venice from November 7 to 29, 2026.
A significant milestone in my career was my selection by the United Nations in November 2024 and 2025 for a global report on femicide in 2023 and 2024, disseminated worldwide. This international recognition highlights the committed nature of my work, which brings to light silent stories and invisible wounds through an artistic language.
I also explored various themes, such as angels in art history and the childhoods of women artists. My series include "Narratives, Memories of Childhood" (2003–2015), "The Angels" (2010–2021), and "La vie en rose… and yet…" (2020–2021).
In 2009, my installation at La Médiatine — a scenography depicting a playground filled with portraits of children — resonated deeply with the public. This work invited viewers to reconnect with their own childhood memories.
My first exhibitions were organized shortly after graduating from La Cambre, notably by ISELP and the Charleroi Cultural Center. These opportunities marked the beginning of my artistic recognition.
